Acer Aspire AZ3-710-UR54 review

This Acer Aspire AZ3-710-UR54 review talks in detail about this new all-in-one desktop PC from the house of Acer. Acer’s Aspire series has given many meaningful products in the past and whether this falls in the same category is for us to decide.

This new desktop is aimed at mid-range users who need some power to get on their everyday work. It is also a good bet for light users as more is good in this case. If you are looking for an all-around personal computer, then this one is a very good candidate. Read this full review and find out if this desktop is the one for you.

Design

This is one of the most pleasing desktops for one’s eyes. It has an excellent design and gives you a very good first impression. Usually, these all-in-one desktops have a good look in the front and are bulky viewed from the sides. Here, the desktop looks sleek even from the sides, and that’s a good thing.

The aluminum stand that holds the desktop does a very good job. You can tilt the display to suit your needs, but there is no swiveling option like in monitors. The screen itself is a beauty of its own (we’ll discuss that later). The keyboard and mouse are usual offerings and nothing special.

If you are looking for a well-designed desktop computer, this one does manage to tick all the checkboxes. But design alone can’t make it a great PC. Let’s dive into the specs and see what it has to offer.

Acer Aspire AZ3-710-UR54 Specs

Let’s talk about the screen. This is a 23.-inch full HD widescreen LED-backlit touchscreen display. It comes with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and has an IPS panel beneath it. Both the resolution and the panel lead to a very good picture quality that makes this device suitable for both work and media consumption.

The touchscreen is responsive and makes navigating this big widescreen a lot easier. With an operating system that is optimized for touch, handling this new OS is very easy and intuitive at the same time.

To power this huge full HD display you need a good, powerful processor. The processor in the Acer Aspire AZ3-710-UR54 desktop is an Intel Core i5 chip. This i5 4590T processor is a 4th generation chip from Intel and clocks at 2GHz. It can, however, reach speeds up to 3GHz with the help of turbo boost.

Acer Aspire AZ3-710-UR54 all-in-one desktopYou can work with ease without any problems. This processor handles the operating system and third-party apps with the same smoothness. Even if the application is system-intensive, this Intel chip can deal with it without sweating too much.

Now it’s time to discuss the memory. We have eight gigs of DDR3L SDRAM. This is a very decent amount of RAM and would serve a mid-range user fine. You can multitask to your heart’s content without facing lag on the performance side of things.

You can, of course, increase the memory if you think you need more. That is one of the advantages when you get a desktop.

If you are a casual or a mid-range gamer, then you’ll have some really decent gaming experience with the Acer Aspire AZ3-710-UR54 desktop. The Intel 4600 HD graphics card does a pretty good job and runs most of the mid-range games without any issues.

If you want to run the latest and the greatest, then you might have some problems. Even in some mid-range games you need to bring down the settings a bit to get decent frame rates.

As far as storage is concerned, you get a 1TB hard drive that offers you a lot of space. It might be just enough for both mid-range and light users these days. There is no solid state drive in this desktop which according to us is a big miss.

The operating system is Windows 10 and with a touchscreen display, you will have a great time with it. Though there are some privacy concerns over this new OS, it does come with some excellent new features that make this a nice and usable operating system.

Connectivity in this new desktop is well taken care of. There is support for both 802.11a/c and Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity. There are 3 USB 2.0 ports and a couple of USB 3.0 ports that can be excellent for data transfer. There is also an 8X super multi double-layer DVD drive that can be handy as well.

Acer Aspire AZ3-710-UR54 Review: Verdict

This Acer Aspire AZ3-710-UR54 review gave some spotlight on the specs and how they can be of use to you. Overall, this is a very good desktop PC for the money. If you are searching for a neat all-in-one desktop computer in a decent price range, then this one fits the bill.
