Design

The desktop comes in silver color and looks very premium. It is not as bulky as the conventional towers we are used to. It is sleek and might take up less space in your room. The one thing we didn’t like is that there are no ports on the front, which means you’ll have to reach the back if you want to plug something in.

At the back, you get all the necessary ports and jacks you need for regular computing. The desktop itself is not that heavy. It weighs around 20 pounds, and you can move it around without any issues. Another important thing to note is that this desktop does not come with a monitor. So get yourself a monitor separately if you don’t have one already.

HP ENVY 750-177c Specs

The HP ENVY 750-177c features a Skylake processor and that alone makes this a contender in a sea of high-end desktops. The Intel Core i7 6700 processor comes with a clocking frequency of 3.4GHz that can be upped to 4.0GHz with the help of turbo boost. The processor also has an 8MB cache that should come in handy as well.

This is the best processor you can get your hands on in this price range. It comes with a lot of power and can run any software you throw at it even if it is system intensive. This is great for heavy users as they will have a need for a lot of power, thanks to their daily workflow.

The memory we have is a DDR3 RAM. The 16GB RAM is great for doing more at the same time. If you are a multitasker, then you’ll find this memory helpful in a lot of ways. The fact that it is also perfect for running multithreaded apps is just icing on the cake. You can also upgrade the memory to 32 gigs if you have a bottleneck due to the available memory.

HP ENVY 750-177c desktopIf you are wondering how much storage will I get, then the answer is massive. There is a 2TB hard drive disk that has a hell a lot of space to store all your games, videos, pictures, songs, and much more. The only issues here is the 5400RPM speed, and we highly recommend to add a solid state drive to get better performance from this beast.

The hard drive also comes with Windows 10 as the operating system. This is the latest OS in the Windows eco and you’ll find it more useful than the previous version with the addition of a number of new features.

There is no discrete graphics card in the HP ENVY 750-177c desktop. We only have integrated graphics and with Skylake, the performance of integrated GPUs has gone up a bit. With the Intel integrated 530 graphics in place, you can play most of the games without any problem. So if you are not a serious gamer, this GPU is good to go for now.

You will be able to remove any wires from your place as the desktop support both wireless internet connectivity and Bluetooth 4.0. There is also a Super-multi DVD burner that could be very useful at times. As far as ports are concerned, there are 4 USB 3.0 ports, 4 USB 2.0 ports, 2 HDMI ports, and also a multiformat card reader.

HP ENVY 750-177c Review: The Verdict

The HP ENVY 750-177c comes with some really impressive specs and definitely one of the best desktops you can get in this price range. If you in the hunt for a higher-end desktop computer, this is a good choice.
