Design

The first impression is solid. This is a very good looking desktop PC to say the least. It is compact as all the components are there at one place, and the design itself is pleasing to the eyes. The aluminum stand that holds the PC is sturdy and does a good job.

The bezel around the screen might be a little too much for some, and they could have reduced it a bit. The keyboard and the mouse are standard offerings, and there is nothing too special about them. You can find the ports at the back and can reach them easily.

HP Pavilion 27-n010 Specs

The best selling point of this desktop is the display. We have a 27-inch diagonal widescreen IPS LED-backlit display that also doubles as a touchscreen. The resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels is good enough to create excellent pictures and together with the viewing angles, this makes a splendid media consumption device.

The screen also supports 10-point touch. Touch is responsive and also makes it easy for the user to navigate the big display. Apart from the big bezels, there is nothing that is distracting in and around the display.

HP Pavilion 27-n010 all in one desktopTo power the big screen, you need a beefy processor. Here we have an Intel Core i5 processor. This i5 4460T processor is a 4th generation processor that comes with a clock speed of 1.9GHz. When there is a need for more power, the clock speed will automatically go up, thanks to the turbo boost technology.

This processor can handle almost any application without any issues. The operating system runs butter smooth and there are no lag problems. You can even run some system intensive apps to test this and it will come out with flying colors.

To support the processor, there are eight gigs of DDR3 RAM in the HP Pavilion 27-n010 desktop. This is a decent memory and can take your multitasking game to the next level. The best part about this is that you can also upgrade the memory in the future as it is user upgradeable.

The graphics department is taken care of by an Intel HD Graphics 4600 graphics card. This is an integrated graphics card that can use up 1.8GB of memory to give some decent performance. This is not a discrete graphics card so don’t expect that level performance.

You can do some moderate gaming on this desktop. You can run even some latest titles with reduced settings and it will run fine. This desktop is fine for casual and mid-range gamers. Graphics rendering is not a problem as it does a commendable job of it.

You can store all your games, videos, pictures and other random stuff in the 1TB 7200RPM hard drive. This drive strikes the balance between space and speed as it offers a good share of both. HP should have included an SSD at this price but have failed. Though it is not a deal breaker, it surely would have impacted the performance.

Windows 8.1 is the operating system you’ll get pre-installed in the HP Pavilion 27-n010 desktop. You can get your hands on Windows 10 with the help of a free upgrade. This new OS is easily becoming the new king of operating systems thanks to the number of new features up its sleeves.

There are a couple of USB 3.0 ports that can be handy for transferring data. There is also a DVD super multi drive that can be equally useful. The built-in HD webcam can help you connect with your friends and family and the desktop also supports Bluetooth 4.0 and 802.11a/b/g/n/ac wireless connectivity.

HP Pavilion 27-n010 Review: Verdict

This HP Pavilion 27-n010 review would have given you a good idea about how good (or bad) this desktop is. It can help you with all your needs without breaking a sweat. If you are on the lookout for a nice looking all-in-one desktop PC at a decent price, then this one is an excellent choice.
