HTC One M9 Plus Release date, Price and Specs

This has been a long-standing debate about the M9 Plus and while one or two renders. A brand new set of pictures only further proves this point. This time the renders are really up close and personal and the overall design is as clear as daylight. All of the HTC One M9 is there which is really no surprise considering the company's track record of sticking with the particular unibody style. HTC is preparing to launch its latest flagship smartphone, the HTC One M9, on April 10. Newly leaked images show the company is also planning to introduce a more feature-rich variant called the One M9 Plus.

HTC may change up the One M9+’s insides, but it will most likely stick with the same design as the flagship. For those of you who haven’t seen it yet, the M9 has a slightly less smooth unibody aluminum body that features a small, grippy ledge right next to the screen. It also comes in intriguing color combinations, like the striking gold and silver combination.

The HTC One M9 sports a 5-inch Super LCD3 display, the One M9 Plus is expected to have a bigger, 5.2-inch screen, presumably of the same Super LCD3 technology. Its resolution is also going to be increased. In all likeliness, the One M9 Plus will deliver pristine visuals at a resolution of 1440 by 2560 pixels. Punching these figures into a PPI calculator gives us the jaw-dropping figure of 565 pixels per inch, which does not top the charts, but gets really close to the top spot. The screen on the One M9 is protected by Gorilla Glass 4 and we're expecting the One M9 Plus to follow suit.

In terms of pricing, the HTC One M9 Plus won't be cheap, knowing that the HTC One M9 carries the premium off-contract price tag of 650 U.S. dollars (or €750 in Europe, which is roughly $811).

Release Date of HTC One M9 Plus

The only bits of information we can consider official are the teasers for the "More than One" media event, which HTC will be hosting in Beijing. Since a phone, likely the HTC One M9 Plus, is rendered on the teaser, we're expecting it to be the star of the show. The event is scheduled for April 8.
