Apple's brand new
MacBook is coming April 10th with a price starting at $1,299. That gets you the base configuration with 256GB of flash storage. An upgraded model with more storage (512GB) and faster processor can be purchased for $1,599. And for the first time ever,
Apple's offering a laptop in three metal finishes: silver, space gray, and gold.

Aside from the outwardly aesthetic changes of the new
MacBook,
Apple has also overhauled the entire design of its latest laptop. It's an entirely fan less design thanks to the 1.1GHz Intel Core M processor.
Apple said this in effect, has allowed it to increase the battery life of the
MacBook to nine hours of web browsing or 10 hours of movie playback. The biggest drawback to the 11-inch and 13-inch
MacBook Air has been the display, which tops out at a pixel-resolution of 1,366 x 768 on the smaller model and 1,400 x 900 on the latter. The new
MacBook corrects this with a 2304 x 1440 resolution.

The new
Macbook is so light you could mistake it for a half-empty sheaf of papers. Holding it in one hand is quite unnerving, as you feel you could snap it without holding properly. The new
MacBook's display is also a considerable step up in efficiency. All in all it follows the trend the
Lenovo's Yoga 3 Pro first demonstrated. There is a headphone jack in the side of the new Macbook, which almost seems to dictate the size of the frame itself.

Apple will begin selling the new
MacBook from 10 April through Apple Online Store,
Apple Retail Store and
Apple Authorised Resellers.
The
Retina MacBook Pro 2015 was quickly announced during
Apple's 9 March Spring Forward
Apple Watch event, alongside updates to the
MacBook Air and the
13in MacBook Pro, and an all-new, pretty amazing
New MacBook.
