Samsung 3 Series Notebooks can be a great choice if you want to buy a new notebook. Weighing around 3.09, 12.1-inch model, supporting 802.11a/b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth 3.0, Gigabit Ethernet and comes with a choice of VGA and HDMI video outputs.It also equipped with non-removable battery 6-cell and two USB 2.0 port.
12.1-inch model is one of the 3 Series Notebook Samsung recently introduced a few weeks ago in a press event in New York. 3 Series notebook consists of a mobile computer with 11.6 to 15.6-inch screen sizes, with different features in each size, but using a common naming scheme.
11.6-inch model is designed for thin and light notebooks without optical drives and removable battery, while the 15.6-inch model will pack an optical drive and a removable battery, but loose some portability.
The 12.1-inch Samsung Notebook Series 3 for pre order at $ 749.99 but no information regarding the date of first delivery. This notebook has a 12.1 inch LED backlit screen with 1366 × 768 pixels and Chiclet-style keyboard package.
12.1-inch model is powered by Intel Core i5-2410M processor 2.3GHz and 2.9GHz Turbo maximum technology. It comes with 4GB of DDR3 system memory, 500GB hard drive with a spindle speed of 5400RPM. The 12.1-inch Samsung Series 3 Laptop run Sandy Bridge CPU with integrated Intel HD 3000 GPU.
Overview
As for some of the Intel-powered notebooks, those will ship with WiDi functionality (Intel Wireless Display) which allows you to send your display to a HDTV sans cables. The entry-level model will ship with a glossy 15.6″ display alongside a quad-core AMD A4 processor, while the higher end models will pack a punch with quad-core Core i7 CPUs from Intel. As for the other displays, they will comprise of non-glossy 11.6″, 12.1″, 13.3″, and 14″ screens.
