Toshiba NB550D Review
The Toshiba NB550D features the ATi Radeon HD 6250M for graphics, 2x Harman Kardon speakers (also used in the Toshiba NB520), an HDMI port, and a 6-cell battery. The display is backlit and offers a brilliant 1280×768 pixel resolution. You get 250GB hard disk drive (spinning at 5400RPM) and 1GB RAM. The company claims around 9.5 hours of runtime (which should be achievable since these Ontario processors are said to be pretty power-frugal).
There are three USB 2.0 ports on the unit which support the unique Sleep-and-Charge function to keep the powered devices charged even when the netbook is not powered on. It will be available in three colors – orange, brown and green and ship in the month of February in Europe. No idea when it will be made available in US.
